Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned data leader to spearhead our data engineering efforts. As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers in developing architectures that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to your team, ensuring they have the skills and expertise needed to deliver high-quality solutions.

Job Description:

In this role, you will collaborate with the data engineering team to design and implement standardized data models across our cloud-based data lake.

You will develop data pipelines to bring in data from multiple sources, including social media and public data sets, and ensure its availability for downstream consumption.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and build scalable data pipelines to integrate data from various sources.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for business use.

• Work with the team to provide effective solution designs that meet business requirements.

• Ensure regular communication with key stakeholders and escalation of critical issues.

• Manage dependencies and challenges (risks) and ensure timely delivery of initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Excellent problem analysis skills
  • Experience with Azure Databricks platform
  • Cloud infrastructure experience (Azure/AWS)
  • Apache Spark (batch processing) and streaming data pipeline development
  • NOSQL databases (Cosmos DB, GraphQL)
  • Hive and Hadoop file formats (Avro / Parquet / ORC)
  • Scripting skills (shell / bash)
  • Data modeling and mapping
  • CI CD tools (Jenkins, JIRA, Bitbucket, Artifactory, Bamboo, Azure Dev-ops)
