The Cloud Migration Specialist plays a key role in executing complex solutions, working closely with bid management, pre-sales, solution & service architects to support customers in maintaining and providing excellent cloud migration services.
- Design customer cloud environments with a focus on AWS/Azure, demonstrating technical cloud operational knowledge in production, staging, QA, and development cloud infrastructures.
- Provide solutions in infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques, including mass application movements into the cloud, implementation of AWS / Azure within large, regulated enterprise environments.
- Develop and manage migration plans and timelines along with strong knowledge of different R strategies such as Rehost, Rebuild etc.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Identify the right tool set to be used for the migration and mitigate risks associated with the migration.
- Ensure successful completion of the migration within project timelines.
- Communicate progress and status of the migration to project stakeholders.
- Manage and coordinate testing and validation of migrated data/systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to the migration.
- Provide training and support to end-users as needed.
- Participate in post-migration activities and provide ongoing support as needed.
- Select appropriate cloud solutions based on the organization's needs and preferences.
- Work closely with the IT team to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to operations.
- Ensure data security and compliance with regulations during the migration process and after it's completed.
- Provide input for the design and construction of test cases and scenarios and may also validate executed test results.
- Review and drive change management along with Team.
- Review and update of project-specific documentation.
- Prepare KMAP of the team and create upskill / training plan.
