Job Title: Cloud Operations Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned cloud professional to fill the role of Cloud Operations Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, scripting/programming, monitoring, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms.
  • Develop and maintain scripts/automation for cost reporting, resource clean-up, and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to right-size compute, storage, and database resources.
  • Identify and implement reserved instances, savings plans, auto-scaling policies, and storage lifecycle policies to reduce spend.
  • Leverage native tools like AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, and third-party monitoring platforms.

Requirements:

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP services (EC2, S3, IAM, GKE, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Experience in cloud cost monitoring & optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Shell, etc.).
  • Understanding of SRE concepts: reliability, scalability, monitoring, and automation.
