Job Title: Frontend Developer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Frontend Developer to join our team.

About the Role:

This position involves developing high-quality software solutions as part of an Agile team. The successful candidate will have expertise in web technologies such as HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular, or ReactJS, and other web server technologies.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality software that meets requirements and promotes re-use of software components.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in Engineering practices.
  • Utilize software-based system maintenance and tracking tools.
  • Provide input and technical content for technical documentation, user help materials, and customer training.
  • Conduct unit tests, track problems, and implement changes to ensure adherence to test plan and functional/non-functional requirements.
  • Implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and reusability.
  • Create high-fidelity estimates of own work efforts.
  • Apply good debugging and troubleshooting techniques to understand and resolve defects found in software.
  • Creates high-quality documentation as required, like functional specifications; component test specification, and integration test specifications.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong web development skills using HTML5/CSS3, Native JavaScript, AngularJS, Angular, or ReactJS, and other web server technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting techniques and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to understand business and technical requirements.
  • Ability to document requirements in the form of a word document and/or UML diagrams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, proficient in Japanese (spoken and written) - bilingual candidates preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Designer Specialty Retail and Food & Drug POS solutions (payments, eWIC, loyalty, promotions, etc.).
  • Experience with POS and Self-Checkout Integrations.
  • Experience with Cloud development.
  • Experience working on one of the cloud technology (AWS, Azure, Google) added advantage.
