Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Communications Intern to join our team on a project basis. This role will provide an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic individual to develop their skills in storytelling, content creation, and team collaboration.

The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing authentic stories from beneficiaries and stakeholders through interviews and conversations. They will then document these stories in clear and concise formats, such as articles, social media captions, and case studies.

In addition to documenting stories, the Communications Intern will assist in creating internal and external communication materials, building and maintaining an archive of stories and content assets, and collaborating with the communications team to generate fresh ideas for content.

To excel in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Media Studies, Public Relations, or a related field. You will also require excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as strong interviewing and documentation abilities.

A good understanding of design tools, such as Adobe Suite or Canva, is highly desirable, but not essential. Creativity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are key qualities for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews and conversations with beneficiaries and stakeholders to capture authentic stories.
  • Document stories and events in clear, concise, and engaging formats.
  • Support the creation of internal and external communication material.
  • Assist in building and maintaining an archive of stories, photographs, and other content assets.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to generate fresh ideas for content.
  • Support in designing visual content using design tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Liberal Arts, Media Studies, Public Relations, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong interviewing and documentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.).
