Job Title: Financial Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various accounting reconciliations between sub-ledger and ledger systems to provide accurate and timely financial information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Reconciliation: Perform reconciliations of sub-ledger and ledger systems to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Error Resolution: Collaborate with source code owners to resolve errors and outstanding journals in sub-ledgers.
  • Manual Journal Entries: Report all manual journal entries currently outstanding in sub-ledgers, including their stages of approval.
  • Audit Coordination: Support the Fin System Strategy team in audit coordination processes, including data acquisition, formatting, and reconciliation for US Business policy-level accounting and non-accounting data files.
  • Cognos Data Refresh: Run the Cognos data refresh process, downloading multiple PowerPlay cubes via Macro and saving them on the share drive for further analysis by stake owners.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct research analysis on data refresh reports to identify trends and insights.
  • Journal Entry Creation: Possess knowledge of creating journal entries in sub-ledgers.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and identify trends and insights.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles: Understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
