Job Title: Senior Principal Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled technologist to join our Technology team. The ideal candidate will help build next-generation software and design solutions to support new technical and business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Contribute to the firm's technology vision and lead the transformation across verticals.
  2. Create and review architectural decisions for products.
  3. Drive technology innovation within the firm.
  4. Engage with the tech community through knowledge-sharing sessions and other mediums to increase employee knowledge and skills.
  5. Establish policies, tenets, and processes to guide the transformation.
  6. Lead by example by building frameworks and libraries to accelerate transformation.
  7. Contribute to the Artifact Repository, which includes ideas, designs, frameworks, policies, and processes.
  8. Lead the group in building sophisticated products using a cutting-edge technology stack, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability on a cloud platform.
  9. Provide visible leadership within the technology community.
  10. Mentor Senior Engineers across the firm by providing guidance and coaching.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor's degree in Engineering with 14+ years of experience in the IT industry.
  2. A deep understanding of one of the programming languages.
  3. A good understanding of architectural principles and patterns.
  4. Exposure to prominent cloud service providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  5. Experience in preparing business proposals with benefits and drivers, financial merits.
  6. Hands-on experience with evaluating open-source frameworks, libraries, and tools with rapid prototyping.
  7. A penchant for exploring and learning new technologies.
  8. A strong bias towards engineering and operational excellence.
  9. Experience and knowledge of delivering products with low/no touch support along with SRE principles.
  10. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving scalability challenges for existing apps.
  11. Experience guiding/mentoring highly skilled engineers.
  12. Ability to oversee multiple technology initiatives and engagements concurrently.
  13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  14. Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
