We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team at Altera-Institute.

About the Role:

This is a key position within our organization, responsible for editing raw footage into polished videos.

  • We are looking for an individual with excellent storytelling skills, able to create engaging visual narratives.
  • The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in video editing software such as Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • A portfolio highlighting previous video editing work is required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for

  • Editing raw footage into polished videos, ensuring visual continuity, smooth transitions, and coherent storytelling.
  • Trimming and arranging footage to achieve a seamless and engaging final product.
  • Incorporating visual effects, animations, and graphics to enhance the overall video quality.
  • Maintaining a strong design sense, ensuring every frame is visually appealing.
  • Working closely with the creative team to execute the vision and maintain brand consistency.
  • Grading and enhancing video footage to achieve the desired look and feel.
  • Editing audio elements, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to ensure a well-balanced audiovisual experience.
  • Synchronizing audio and visual components to create a seamless and professional final product.
  • Reviewing and refining edited videos to ensure they meet established standards of quality, style, and branding.
  • Organizing and maintaining a library of video assets, ensuring easy access for future projects.
  • Communicating effectively with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver timely results.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related to video editing software and hardware.
Requirements:
  • Over 1 year of proven experience as a Visual Editor/Video Editor.
  • Proficiency in software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
  • Solid knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression techniques.
  • Familiarity with color grading, audio editing, and visual effects.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
