Job Opportunity: Senior Software Engineer/ Technical Specialist

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • We are looking for a skilled developer to create and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, and Synapse Analytics.
  • The ideal candidate will design and implement scalable data architectures following Medallion Architecture and best practices.
  • Responsibilities include performing data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across structured and unstructured datasets.
  • We need a strong SQL writer who can develop and maintain data lake solutions in Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Gen2.
  • This role involves writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • The selected candidate will implement CI/CD pipelines for data workflows using Azure DevOps.
  • We require collaboration with stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure data availability.
  • Key responsibilities also include ensuring data governance, security, and compliance in Azure-based data solutions.
  • Maintenance of data pipeline reliability and performance through monitoring and troubleshooting is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will stay updated with the latest Azure and big data technologies and implement best practices.
  • Resolving issues that arise during code/review requires thorough systematic analysis of the root cause and justifying decisions taken.
  • Proof of concepts may be required to validate suggested designs/technologies before implementation.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Azure Data Engineering with Data Factory, Synapse, Fabric, Databricks.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, T-SQL, and Python for data processing and transformation.
  • Familiarity with PySpark for big data processing.
  • Able to design ETL/ELT pipelines and work with large datasets.
  • Proficient with Azure Data Lake (ADLS) Gen2 for data storage and processing.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps, including Azure DevOps, Git, and automated deployments.
  • Understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and schema design principles.
