Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to lead the design and development of automotive closure mechanisms. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineer to join our team and contribute to the creation of innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop vehicle closure mechanisms including latches, window regulators, check straps, outer door handles, locks, and their related kinematics using CAD software (typically CATIA).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, studio design, quality, and customer experience.
  • Evaluate, test, and validate designs through simulation and physical prototypes, ensuring robust function, manufacturability, safety, and durability.
  • Release components and manage the full lifecycle from concept, architecture, supplier engagement, BOM management, and production support.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and regulations for closure mechanisms.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in designing automotive closure systems (latches, regulators, handles, etc.).
  • Expertise in CAD (e.g., CATIA V5/SolidWorks) and detailed engineering analysis.
  • Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, validation, and simulation tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
