Associate Dean Position

The Associate Dean position is a key role in supporting the academic leadership team in managing various programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the academic leadership team in managing academic and administrative functions within the faculty or institute.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of academic programs within the faculty, coordinating with departments to ensure curricula are up-to-date.
  • Supervise regularity of all academic sessions across constituent colleges within the faculty.
  • Maintain proper decorum and quality of teaching in all classes and labs within constituent colleges under the faculty.
  • Implement protocols for examinations conducted by the university in constituent colleges under the faculty.
  • Assist in analysing teaching load and determining requirements for additional teachers.
  • Promote research activities within the faculty and encourage publication of work.
  • Participate in academic committees, such as Board of Studies and Faculty Academic Council.
  • Ensure timely preparation and circulation of meeting proceedings and minutes.
  • Establish connections with industry professionals, alumni, and academic partners for collaborative projects and internships.
  • Work closely with the academic leadership team to evaluate and improve academic programs.
  • Maintain a repository of data on faculty members and submit it accurately whenever needed.
  • Hold regular meetings with staff to identify challenges and explore solutions.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with students to gather feedback on the teaching-learning process and examinations.
  • Update faculty-related data regularly on the university website.
  • Assist in preparing for scheduled visits of expert committees.
