System Development Specialist

  • We are seeking a System Development Specialist to join our team.
  • This role involves developing and maintaining software applications, with a focus on Guidewire BillingCenter configuration.
  • The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Guidewire BillingCenter, including configuration, business rules, and integration components.
  • They will also be skilled in programming languages such as Java and SQL, and have experience with source code management tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
  • This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the BillingCenter DataModel and be able to design and code integration components, including plug-ins and programs that call the GW APIs.
  • They will also be responsible for creating form and letter templates, and their supporting XML descriptor files.
  • Additionally, this role involves supporting production deployments and automation, leading monitoring, job control, and production support, and participating in and providing support for production issues related to the Guidewire solution.
  • The successful candidate will have expertise configuring and developing several areas of BillingCenter, including Account/Policy/Producer Handling, Various Plan Types, Billing Instructions, Charges, Charge Patterns, Charge Invoicing, Invoice Items, Direct/List/Agency Bill Processing, Premium Reporting, Holds and write-offs, Handling of Trouble Tickets/Collaterals and Return Premium, Funds Tracking and Contacts.
  • They will also be well-versed with all Guidewire Billing center configuration areas like PCF, Gosu, Business Rules, Invoicing, Billing Types, Charge Distributions, Payments, Delinquency process, Commissions, etc.
