Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Security Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure network architectures across LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud environments.

  • Design and maintain secure network architectures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Define and enforce network segmentation, firewall policies, and secure remote access strategies to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security tools, solutions, or upgrades to mitigate emerging threats and improve overall network security posture.
Network Security Architecture & Strategy
  • Develop and implement network security architecture designs that align with business objectives and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that network security designs meet business requirements and are aligned with company policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize network security.
Firewall & Perimeter Security Management
  • Manage and configure enterprise firewalls to ensure secure communication between networks and systems.
  • Oversee intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and DDoS protection systems to detect and prevent cyber threats.
  • Maintain Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), load balancers, and proxy servers to ensure secure web traffic.
Monitoring, Incident Response & Threat Management
  • Lead real-time monitoring of network traffic using SIEM tools to identify potential security threats.
  • Manage incident response for network-based threats, including malware outbreaks, data breaches, and DoS attacks.
  • Coordinate root cause analysis and remediation efforts for security incidents to minimize downtime and data loss.
Compliance & Policy Enforcement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and GDPR.
  • Conduct periodic network security assessments, audits, and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities and improve overall security posture.
  • Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent application of security controls.
Team Management & Stakeholder Communication
  • Lead and mentor a team of network and security engineers to ensure knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Liaise with IT, DevOps, compliance, and business units to align security controls with business needs and ensure effective communication.
  • Provide regular reports and dashboards to senior leadership on security risks, incidents, and mitigation actions.
Cloud & Hybrid Environment Security
  • Secure hybrid cloud environments, including VPCs, security groups, transit gateways, and other cloud-native security features.
  • Monitor interconnectivity between on-premise and cloud infrastructure using encrypted channels and access controls.
  • Implement zero-trust models and SASE frameworks to ensure secure access and data protection in cloud environments.
Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 8-12+ years of experience in IT/network security with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.

Desirable:

  • Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AWS/Azure Security.
  • Experience in SOC/NOC environments.
  • Project management exposure (Agile, ITIL).
Technical Skills Required
  • Advanced knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Hands-on with SIEM, NAC, VPN, endpoint security, and MFA solutions.
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, Ansible) is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, TLS, BGP, SNMP, etc.
  • Exposure to Zero Trust, SASE, and cloud-native security tools.
