Database Administrator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our database management team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance databases.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement efficient database architectures to meet business requirements
  • Maintain and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and scalability
  • Develop and execute database backups and recovery strategies to prevent data loss
  • Analyze and troubleshoot database-related issues to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions with existing systems

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database architecture, logical and physical design, automation, documentation, installs, shell scripting, PL/ SQL programming, catalog navigation, query tuning, system tuning, resource contention analysis, backup and recovery, standby, replication, etc.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
