Job Description:

At Harman, we're seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer to lead our SMT rework activities. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the shift rework process for Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and related Micro-Interface (MI) components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the SMT MI rework repair activity in the shift.
  • Develop hands-on experience in doing rework for chip components, including ICs, BGAs, LGAs, connectors, and MI components.
  • Knowledge of IPC 7711/7721 and IPC 610 is essential.
  • Debug ICT testing failures on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
  • Handle Non-Conforming Parts (NG parts) from end-to-end, along with documentation.
  • Maintain daily first pass yield and quality issue data for SMT and Through Hole Technology (THT) processes.
  • Analyze failure parts and identify root causes to improve quality rates.
  • Implement Corrective Action Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and Continuous Improvement (CFT) initiatives.
  • Monitor KPIs on a daily basis and escalate issues timely to minimize disruption.
  • Collaborate with suppliers' quality teams to address supplier-related issues.
  • Encourage line operators for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain documentation as per quality standards.
