Drools Expert

We are seeking an experienced Drools Expert to join our team at Wall Street Consulting Services LLC. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining rule-based systems using the Drools framework.

In this role, you will work closely with business analysts and product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient rule-based solutions. You will write and optimize complex business rules to ensure system performance and scalability.

You will also integrate Drools with existing systems, including databases, microservices, and web applications. Additionally, you will debug and troubleshoot Drools-based applications to resolve issues and improve functionality.

To succeed in this position, you should have strong experience with the Drools Rule Engine, including Drools BRMS and Drools Workbench. Proficiency in Java and J2EE technologies is also essential. Good understanding of Business Rule Management Systems (BRMS) and their architecture is required.

A good understanding of REST APIs and web services is also necessary. Experience with Relational Databases (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle is desirable. Familiarity with version control tools like Git or SVN is also required.

As a senior developer, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and optimize Drools-based applications. A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is necessary. 2-5 years of experience in software development with significant exposure to Drools or similar BRMS is required.

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience. If you have experience with Drools Workbench for rule authoring and management, knowledge of Kafka, Apache Camel, or other messaging platforms for integrating rule-based applications, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, and experience in continuous integration and delivery practices, it's a plus.
