English Teacher Position

We are seeking an experienced and qualified English teacher to fill a teaching position in our institution.

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons to motivate students.
  • They will create and utilize appropriate materials and the classroom environment to cater to different learning styles.
  • Establishing and maintaining records of curriculum and year plans, attendance, teaching resources, assessment plans, etc. is also part of the role.
  • Implementation of lesson plans, worksheets, class, and home assignments is essential.
  • Preparing instruments of assessment and implementation of weekly, unit, term, and annual plans for assessment and evaluation according to defined criteria is required.
  • Providing accurate feedback to students, both qualitative and quantitative, as per school policy is crucial.
  • Evaluating student progress and adjusting teaching methods accordingly is vital.
  • Participating in appraisal and professional development (PD) activities is also necessary.
  • Attending and leading co-curricular events, staff meetings, and extra-curricular programs in the school is expected.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant subject with a B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of curriculum areas, research, and educational trends in education is required.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are essential.
