Software Engineer for Automation and Installation

This is a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our software development lifecycle. As a DevOps & Install Shield Professional, you will play a pivotal part in designing, developing, and implementing Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using various tools.

  • The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud platforms, version control systems, and DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, SVN, and Git.
  • A strong background in installation technologies, such as InstallShield, WIX Toolset, and Visual Studio Installer Projects, is essential.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and analyze issues related to software installations and deployments is crucial.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills and be able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages, including MS Scripting, Shell, and PowerShell.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and team collaboration tools like JIRA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Installation Packages: Use WIX Toolset, Advanced Installer, InstallAware, and Visual Studio Installer Projects to develop installation packages.
  • Analyze and Resolve Issues: Troubleshoot problems related to software installations and deployments.
