About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our HQ team based in our main office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science and machine learning techniques, with extensive experience in extracting information from unstructured data sources, particularly PDFs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced data science and machine learning methods to extract valuable insights from diverse datasets.
  • Design and implement Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT and Gemini for optimal performance.
  • Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for processing large volumes of unstructured data.
  • Work with Vector Databases, Azure Cloud, LangChain, Lama Index, and OCR tools and techniques for efficient data extraction.
  • Extract information from PDFs using tools like PDFMiner, PyMuPDF, or PDFPlumber, and OCR tools for accurate results.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering concepts and practices, including data analysis and modeling.
  • Strong proficiency in data science and machine learning techniques, including deep learning and natural language processing.
  • Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT and Gemini, and their applications in text generation and reasoning.
  • Practical experience in building Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for real-world problems.
  • Experience in processing large volumes of unstructured data, preferably in the insurance, legal, or healthcare sectors, and extracting valuable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields, with a strong academic record.

Compensation: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
