Talent Destination is seeking a highly skilled Principal Data Architect to lead our cloud data engineering efforts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing large-scale data lakes on cloud environments, specifically AWS. Proficiency in ETL tools, SQL, and programming languages like UNIX, Python, Java, or Scala is required.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and management of large-scale data lakes on AWS

Work with ETL tools like Spark, Informatica, Talend, and AWS Glue to ensure seamless data integration

Develop and optimize SQL queries for data processing and analysis to provide business insights

Implement data modeling and schema design best practices to ensure data quality and integrity

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Jules, and Spinnaker to automate the deployment process

Job scheduling experience with Control-m, file watchers, alerts, and monitoring to ensure data is processed efficiently

Migrate large-scale on-prem data lakes to cloud environments to improve scalability and reliability

Integrate data lakes with Business Intelligence (BI) tools like Tableau and Alteryx to provide data-driven decision-making capabilities

Ensure data security best practices are followed while coding to protect sensitive information

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field

6-8 years of experience in AWS and ETL tools, with a strong background in cloud data engineering

Hands-on experience with AWS services like S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, etc.

Strong experience with Spark, Informatica, Talend, and other ETL tools to ensure seamless data integration

Proficiency in SQL and database management to develop and optimize SQL queries

Knowledge of data modeling and schema design to implement best practices

Experience with CI/CD and job scheduling tools to automate the deployment process

Strong experience in migrating large-scale data lakes to cloud environments to improve scalability and reliability
