Job Title

This position is seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of data architectures, pipelines and warehouses.

  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java or Python, as well as strong knowledge of AWS development including Lambda, Glue, Step Functions, IAM roles, Lakeformation, EventBridge, SNS, SQS, EC2, Security Groups, CloudFormation, RDS, DynamoDB and Redshift.
  • They will be responsible for building and maintaining systems that collect, store, process and analyse data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility and security.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement data warehousing and lake solutions that manage large volumes of data efficiently and securely.
  • Develop processing and analysis algorithms to handle complex data sets.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to build and deploy machine learning models.

  • To contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.

Requirements
  • Strong technical acumen with ability to quickly understand complex systems, troubleshoot issues and apply sound engineering principles to solve problems.

  • Proven ability to design and develop enterprise level software solutions using tools and techniques such as Source Control, Build Tools, TDD, Jenkins etc.
