AWS Cloud Engineer Job Description

A key role for a proficient cloud engineer is to design, deploy, and manage cloud solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure according to best practices.
  • Cloud Solution Development: Develop cloud-based solutions using AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate deployment, scaling, and management of cloud applications using IaC tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), VPC security, and data protection.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Setup: Collaborate with development teams to set up CI/CD pipelines for smooth deployment workflows.
  • Cloud Cost Optimization: Conduct cloud cost analysis and optimization to drive efficiency.
  • Staying Updated: Stay updated on AWS features and industry trends to continually innovate and improve cloud practices.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field, with a focus on AWS technologies.
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in AWS services and features, including but not limited to EC2, S3, EBS, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation. Experience with scripting and programming languages like Python and Bash for automation tasks.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
