Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for web, API and/or mobile applications.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress or Appium.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Collaborate with developers, QA team members and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into test plans.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration and performance testing.
  • Identify, log and track bugs to closure using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Perform root cause analysis and contribute to test strategy improvements.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test cases, test data and automation reports.

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in automated testing using tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit or similar.
  • Strong programming knowledge in Java/Python/JavaScript/C#.
  • Good understanding of REST APIs and experience testing APIs using Postman/similar tools.
  • Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
  • Experience in version control systems like Git.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail).
  • Excellent understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, bug tracking along with debugging, troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.
  • ISTQB Certification will be an added advantage.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Exposure to API testing (e.g., Postman).
  • Ability to understand backend (typescript/Node.js) coding.
