Chief Intellectual Property Strategist

Key Responsibilities:

• Protect and defend intellectual property, including company know-how.
• Identify and evaluate invention disclosures.
• Conduct novelty searches and analyze results.
• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Manage trademarks, ensuring they are enforced and registered.
• Prevent third-party IP rights attacks.
• Review patents and trademarks to identify potential issues.

IP Risk Management:

• Conduct patent landscaping and freedom-to-operate evaluations.
• Perform patentability, infringement, and literature searches.
• Manage IP risks to enable compliant product launches.
• Handle patent submissions and competitor IP countermeasures.
• Conduct IP due diligence for joint developments or partnerships.

Scientific Information Management & Awareness:

• Respond to internal search requests (patents, literature, prior art).
• File and prosecute patents across multiple jurisdictions.
• Counsel R&D teams on patent strategy and innovation.
• Retrieve and analyze external IP-related data using advanced databases.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum: M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry
• Preferred: Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry
