Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Oracle Financials Consultant is responsible for delivering technical and functional solutions for Oracle Financials modules in a Global DevOps environment. This includes designing and developing configuration solutions, managing incident tickets, and meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Major Job Functions:

  • Responsibilities (Functional)
    • Provide functional design and configuration solutions in support of Experian's global business processes.
    • Support the effort to build and update Experian's global business processes.
    • Develop a deep understanding of global business processes and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
    • Interact with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Global Process Owners (GPOs), and Business Users to understand business requirements and provide definitive solutions.
    • Deliver changes in Oracle modules, including P2P, O2C, and R2R.
  • Responsibilities (Technical)
    • Deliver technical RICEW components that follow Experian custom build standards.
    • Prepare technical design, conversion, and deployment documents.
    • Responsible for deployment and release of technical changes in all environments.
    • Communicate well with peers to develop a full understanding of what is being built.
    • Support PRODUCTION issues and perform code review for CRs delivered by technical team members.
  • Responsibilities (Process)
    • Operate in a global DevOps environment, working to deliver Change Requests (CRs) and resolution of PRODUCTION incidents concurrently.
    • Follow either traditional waterfall methodology or agile methodologies to deliver CRs/Projects.
    • Provide Peer approval for UAT and PRODUCTION deployment for CRs delivered by the delivery team.
    • Follow global processes for incident triage and resolution.
    • Provide positive input to regular team meetings to enhance both the quality of the application and improve knowledge and expertise within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Cloud - Functional (Procurement and SCM) and Cloud technical experience.
  • Oracle Applications R12 development experience.
  • More than 8 years of experience in Oracle Financials.
  • Good understanding of statutory and regulatory reporting and process requirements.
  • Solid experience creating, maintaining, enhancing, and tuning PL/SQL programs.
  • Hands-on experience in Oracle Application Framework – OAF.
  • Oracle Forms, Reports, and BI Publisher tool experience.
  • Oracle Workflow design and development experience.
  • Knowledge in Java, J2EE, WebLogic, HTML, JavaScript.
  • ODI and Oracle Approvals Management (AME) experience.
  • Configure WebADI data loader tool experience.
  • Oracle Alerts experience.
  • Well-versed in Oracle AOL functionalities.
  • Unix Shell scripting experience.
  • Experience using version control and code promotion tools (BitBucket, Jenkins).
  • Experience of using incident and change tracking software (ServiceNow).
  • 8 years of IT development experience on large Oracle ERP implementations or Support environments.
  • Ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • Proven experience in Service and Delivery of Oracle ERP implementations.
  • Excellent Analytical skills.
  • Team player with abilities to work in complex cross-functional and geographically diverse teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
