">Job Description:
A highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer is required to lead and manage our India operations. This senior leadership position combines deep technical expertise with business development responsibilities, requiring a seasoned professional who can drive both technical excellence and commercial growth.
">Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert geotechnical engineering guidance and oversight for all projects.
2. Review and approve technical designs, reports, and recommendations ensuring compliance with Indian standards, international best practices, and company quality standards.
3. Lead complex geotechnical investigations and foundation design projects.
4. Mentor and develop junior engineering staff.
5. Leverage extensive industry network to identify and secure new business opportunities.
6. Prepare competitive technical and commercial proposals for tenders.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and industry partners.
8. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and technical meetings.
9. Develop strategic partnerships to expand market presence.
">Essential Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering.
2. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Geotechnical Engineering, Master's preferred, Professional engineering license certification.
3. Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, expertise in foundation design, slope stability, and ground improvement methods, proficiency with geotechnical software and analysis tools.
4. Business Leadership Skills: Established professional network in the Indian construction and infrastructure industry, proven ability to win new business and manage client relationships, experience in preparing tenders, proposals, and commercial quotations, strong leadership and team management capabilities, excellent communication and presentation skills.
5. Industry Connections: Existing relationships with contractors, developers, and government agencies, established vendor and supplier network, active participation in professional engineering associations, knowledge of local market conditions and competitive landscape.
6. Desired Qualifications: Experience with large infrastructure projects, highways, railways, ports, industrial facilities, international project experience, advanced certifications in geotechnical engineering, proficiency in multiple Indian regional languages with Bengali and Hindi mandatory, experience with digital tools including word and excel.
