Transformative Opportunity

Oracle is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Member of Technical Staff to join our Database Cloud Services team in India. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying database cloud platform features and services that enable customers to migrate to cloud as part of their digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to transformational projects to deliver scalable, extensible, and differentiated Database-as-a-Service on the Cloud
  • Work closely with senior developers and architects, as well as Product Management, IT, and Operations teams for architecting, designing, and developing Database Cloud Service solutions
  • Collaborate with Oracle Cloud product (OCI) teams to define requirements and tightly integrate DB with the Cloud Platform to deliver a high-quality and performant database-as-a-service
  • Employ agile development skills and continuously deliver parts of the overall solution to enhance customer experience and confidence
  • Use product development knowledge and expertise to resolve customer issues as and when needed
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development with at least 2 years in cloud technologies building IaaS or PaaS solutions using Rest APIs
  • Strong programming skills with Python (very much preferred) or Java
  • Knowledge of Database management systems, Microservices, and Virtualisation technologies
  • Agile development
  • Excellent communication skills
Additional Skills
  • Knowledge of Operating System internals, Database internals
  • Experience with/understanding of multi-tenancy, CI/CD, cloud security, telemetry, and service level availability
