Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced 2D animator to bring our game characters, environments, and visual effects to life.

You will collaborate closely with artists, designers, and developers to create engaging animations that enhance gameplay, storytelling, and player immersion.

  • Create high-quality 2D animations for characters, creatures, UI elements, environments, and VFX.
  • Work with the art team to understand animation needs and implement feedback effectively.
  • Animate 2D characters using tools such as Spine, Adobe Animate, or Unity Animator.
  • Collaborate with programmers to integrate animations in-game, ensuring smooth transitions and responsiveness.
  • Maintain a consistent visual style and quality across all animations in line with the project's artistic direction.
  • Contribute to the development of animation pipelines and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Your primary responsibility will be to create high-quality 2D animations for various aspects of our games. This includes characters, creatures, user interface elements, environments, and visual effects.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you should have a proven track record of experience as a 2D animator in the game industry. You should be proficient in animation software such as Spine, Adobe Animate, After Effects, Toon Boom, and Unity. Strong understanding of animation principles is essential.

You should also have experience with rigging and creating reusable animation assets. Adaptability to different art styles and comfort working in an iterative, fast-paced development environment are required.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary, as you will work closely with other members of the team to deliver high-quality animations.

Skillset:

The ideal candidate should possess excellent drawing skills, be well-versed in color theory and composition, and have a keen eye for detail. They should also be able to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Bonus Points:

Experience with game engines like Unity or Unreal Engine would be beneficial, as would knowledge of code snippets and ability to learn programming languages quickly.

A portfolio showcasing your animation skills and previous experience in the game industry would be advantageous in securing an interview.
