Senior Backend Developer Position Available

Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend systems that support our maritime operations platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services with frontend applications, databases, and other core systems.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Contributing to the design and development of maintainable and efficient software architecture.
  • Leading product lifecycle activities from conceptualization through deployment.
  • Implementing Test-Driven Development practices, ensuring high-quality code.
  • Building reusable and modular code to promote efficiency across projects.
  • Optimizing applications for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Ensuring secure coding practices and data protection compliance.
  • Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for all systems and processes related to products owned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong programming foundation in Python, including debugging and performance analysis.
  • Experience in web application development and APIs (REST, XML).
  • Expertise in secure software development and sensitive data handling.
  • Well-established experience in system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • In-depth knowledge of Source Code Repositories and Git.
  • Hands-on experience in DB design & Architecture, focusing on performance.
  • Knowledge of caching techniques and utilities like Memcache / Redis.
  • Experience working with Apache, Nginx, or similar web/app servers.
  • Containerization tool expertise - Docker.
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise-level deployment and scaling.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems effectively.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Angular, Node JS.
  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JS, Bootstrap, Ajax.
