Vantive: Revolutionizing Kidney Care

Baxter is embarking on a transformative journey to separate its ~$5B Kidney Care segment into a standalone company, Vantive. This new entity will build on the company's nearly 70-year legacy in acute therapies and home and in-center dialysis to provide best-in-class care to patients worldwide.

As a Scrum Master, you will be part of a community of dedicated professionals who are focused, courageous, and committed to excellence. Together, we will revolutionize kidney care and other vital organ support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the team achieves its objectives by reinforcing SAFe framework and Scrum principles, keeping the team focused on its goals, and facilitating all standard ceremonies.
  • Organize and facilitate all Scrum-related meetings, including stand-ups, retrospectives, reviews, demos, and more.
  • Facilitate the team's work and collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans, roadmaps, and manage the backlog.
  • Communicate team plans, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to relevant stakeholders, and help resolve them.
  • Monitor the team backlog daily and ensure it accurately reflects the current state of the sprint.
  • Work with product owners and stakeholders to refine vision and establish goals and metrics.
  • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint progress to all affected teams and management.
  • Organize and facilitate the product release by following all governance standards.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of well-documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach.
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
  • Experience with test-driven development and automated testing is desired.
  • Ability to organize and present technical status to senior management.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering results on several technical challenges.
  • Passionate about continuous learning, can-do attitude, wears Thinkers Hat, can work collaboratively with diverse teams, leverages current technologies, and believes in process simplification, quality conscious.
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation, and conflict management skills.
  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles on behalf of the team.
  • Shares knowledge, power, and credit, establishing trust, credibility, and goodwill.

Background and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field, and 7+ years of related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience leading both Scrum and Kanban Agile Teams.
  • Knowledge of tools used to assist with Scrum team planning, such as ServiceNow, Jira, Agile Manager, Version1, etc.
  • First-Level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I) and/or SAFe Practitioner certification strongly preferred.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Understanding of regulated Healthcare industry, FDA design controls requirements is an advantage.
