Job Title: Scala/Spark Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Scala/Spark Developer to join our team at Monster. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing big data platforms using Scala and Spark.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop big data platforms using Scala and Spark
  • Develop expertise in data engineering and data processing technologies
  • Hands-on experience in design and development of big data platforms
  • Deep understanding of modern data processing technology stacks, including Spark, HBase, Hive, and other Hadoop ecosystem technologies
  • Development using Scala, with a focus on streaming data architectures and technologies for real-time and low-latency data processing
  • Experience with agile development methods, including core values, guiding principles, and key agile practices
  • Understanding of the theory and application of Continuous Integration/Delivery
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies, including column family, graph, document, and key-value data storage technologies
  • Passion for software craftsmanship

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering and data processing technologies
  • Expertise in Scala and Spark, with a focus on big data platforms
  • Hands-on experience in design and development of big data platforms
  • Deep understanding of modern data processing technology stacks, including Spark, HBase, Hive, and other Hadoop ecosystem technologies
  • Development using Scala, with a focus on streaming data architectures and technologies for real-time and low-latency data processing
  • Experience with agile development methods, including core values, guiding principles, and key agile practices
  • Understanding of the theory and application of Continuous Integration/Delivery
  • Experience with NoSQL technologies, including column family, graph, document, and key-value data storage technologies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the financial industry
  • Spark/Spark Streaming hands-on experience
  • In-depth understanding of Spark Internals, Spark configuration, Spark Memory Management, and Scala
