We are seeking a seasoned Component Specialist to oversee the entire lifecycle of electronic and electromechanical components used in our smart meter hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate component compliance with IEC, BIS, and relevant smart metering standards
  • Analyze alternate components to reduce supply risk and optimize cost
  • Develop automated test setups to test various hardware devices
  • Stay updated on emerging component technologies and recommend adoption where feasible
Lifecycle Management

The Component Specialist will maintain a robust component database with lifecycle status (Active, NRND, EOL) and monitor obsolescence trends to initiate proactive redesign or sourcing strategies.

Supplier & Vendor Coordination

The Component Specialist will collaborate with procurement to qualify vendors and negotiate component terms, audit suppliers for quality, compliance, and reliability standards, and drive long-term supplier relationships to ensure business continuity.

The ideal candidate will have more than 3 years of hands-on experience in comprehensive testing of components and a bachelor's degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering. They should also possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of component qualification processes, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be a key member of our team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality smart meters that meet IEC, BIS, and DLMS/COSEM standards.
