Lead Mainframe Application Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Mainframe Systems Expert to help shape the future of our mainframe applications.
About the Role:- This is an opportunity to design, develop and maintain critical mainframe systems that meet business needs.
- Design and develop mainframe applications and systems with focus on performance and efficiency.
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications for seamless integration with other applications.
- Develop high-quality COBOL code and optimize it for optimal results.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of mainframe applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth system integration.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for mainframe systems.
- Document technical specifications, processes and procedures for easy reference.
- 6-11 years of experience in mainframe development.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL programming language.
- Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) and VSAM (Virtual Storage Access Method).
- 3+ years of experience with CICS databases.
- Understanding of mainframe operating systems, particularly z/OS.
- Proficient in debugging and troubleshooting mainframe applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
