Skyworks Opportunity for Electrical Engineers

At Skyworks, we are seeking a skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our innovative team. As an Electrical Engineer at Skyworks, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance analog semiconductors that power the wireless networking revolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analog IC Design: Develop and optimize CMOS integrated circuit designs, working closely with a team of experts in analog/RF IC design.
  • Design Management: Interface with design management and module design teams to create detailed specifications, report design progress, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work within a group of 3-5 design engineers to develop multichip module products, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Education: BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Cadence Design Tools: Expertise in Cadence design tools, including schematic capture, simulators, and layout.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to organize information and present results clearly.
  • Advanced Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of analog designs, including bandgaps, op-amps, regulators, and precision current sources in CMOS or BiCMOS technologies.
  • Feedback Systems: Knowledge of feedback systems, poles and zeroes, and loop dynamics.
  • Basic Digital Logic: Basic knowledge of MOS and bipolar device physics, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Team Leadership: Excellent verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to oversee the work of layout designers and test engineers.
  • Co-design: Familiarity with co-design of analog and digital circuits, trim circuits, and ADC/DAC.
  • System Modeling: System modeling skills, including MATLAB and Verilog-A.
  • Good Judgment: Good judgment in solving a broad range of issues, based on educational background and/or industry experience.
