Data Engineer for Enterprise Data Platforms

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru. As a Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and developing large-scale analytics solutions using cutting-edge technology to transform the future of healthcare.
JOB DUTIES:
- Data Management: Translate business requirements into data requirements, design and sustain data management strategies on enterprise data platforms like Snowflake.
- Technical Specifications: Work with project leads, stakeholders, and business SMEs to define technical specifications to develop data modeling requirements and maintain data infrastructure.
- Solution Architect: Design and develop large-scale analytics solutions using dbt Cloud, SnapLogic, and Control-M.
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to develop data engineering best practices for an enterprise data warehouse.
- Data Architecture and Solution Design: Understand data architecture & solution design, design & develop dimensional models in an enterprise data warehouse environment.
- Development and Automation: Develop and automate enterprise data transformation pipelines, ELT/ ETL processes using Python and SQL Scripting.
- Test Cases and Scripts: Work with cross-functional teams and process owners on the development of test cases and scripts to verify that requirements are met and ensuring high levels of data quality.
- Quality Assurance: Develop and apply quality assurance best practices for data engineering.
- Data Engineering Best Practices: Design and apply data engineering best practices for an enterprise data warehouse.
- Data Behavior Analysis: Analyze data and data behaviors to support business user queries.
- Impact Analysis: Excellent understanding of impact due to changes in data platforms, data models, and data behaviors.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data engineering issues.
- Benchmarking and Tracking: Benchmark application operational performance periodically, track (metrics) and fix issues.
- Data Governance and Compliance: Understand and comply with data governance and compliance practices as defined for risk management.
- Metadata Management: Promote and apply metadata management best practices supporting enterprise data catalogs.
- Change and Release Management: Support change and release management processes.
- Incident and Response Management: Support incident and response management including problem-solving and root cause analysis, documentation.
- Automation and On-Call Processes: Support automation and on-call processes (Tier 1 / Tier 2).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering with expertise in Snowflake cloud data platform, dbt Cloud, and Control-M.
- Excellent understanding of data warehouses, data transformations, and data orchestration.
- Strong programming skills in Python and SQL Scripting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data engineering issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and process owners.
- Good understanding of operating systems, Windows, and Linux.
- Bachelor's degree equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent degree.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.
