Backend Software Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient Python-based backend services using Flask and/or Django.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with Flask and/or Django frameworks. Additionally, they should have proficiency in frontend technologies such as JavaScript, Redux, and familiarity with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python-based backend services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
  • Build dynamic, responsive user interfaces using JavaScript and Redux
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in Python is a must
  • Hands-on experience with Flask and/or Django frameworks
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies: JavaScript, Redux
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Experience with version control systems like Git

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a plus
