Job Title:

Senior Risk Officer

 

  • Assume a critical role in the development and implementation of an effective Enterprise Risk Management framework.
  • Develop robust internal control systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, evaluate, and document control weaknesses and deficiencies, and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive Risk Registers (RCSA) to monitor and assess risks.
  • Conduct regular reviews of current business processes, identify control gaps and deficiencies, and develop recommendations for risk mitigation and improvement of business processes.
  • Update the Enterprise Risk Policy to ensure it reflects best practices and accommodates changing regulatory and strategic scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Principal Risk Owners to identify key risks and mitigating controls within their business units, and develop action plans to address any gaps in the mitigating measures identified.
  • Prepare reports for the Risk Committee, Executive Management Team, and Board Committees.
  • Develop an integrated risk reporting framework to enable focused attention on critical risks.

 

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in finance, management, or risk management from a reputable institution.
  • Preferred certifications include FRM, CFA, CBCP, and similar qualifications.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of Exchange ecosystem and operations.

Functional Competencies:

  • Principles of risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of risk identification, assessment, and management frameworks.
  • Ability to design and evaluate effectiveness of controls embedded within business processes.
  • Knowledge of risk and governance standards, such as COSO framework and Basel Corporate Governance Principles.
