We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support teaching, research, and practical training in the departments of Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Agriculture, and Computer Applications.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree/Diploma in the relevant discipline (Life Sciences / Forensic Science / Agriculture / Computer Applications) from a recognized institution. Prior experience in laboratory work, technical assistance, or research support is desirable.Key responsibilities include preparing, setting up, and maintaining laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for practical classes and research activities. The successful candidate will also assist faculty and students during laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and projects.Additional responsibilities include ensuring proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, biological samples, reagents, and other materials. Calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining laboratory instruments and software applications as required is also essential.A strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary for this role. The ideal candidate will also have knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, equipment handling, and maintenance. Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software (especially for Computer Applications labs) are also required.In terms of preferred skills, we are looking for candidates with expertise in microbiological, environmental, or zoological lab techniques in Life Sciences, forensic sample handling, analytical instruments, and evidence management in Forensic Science, exposure to soil testing, crop/plant analysis, and agricultural lab tools in Agriculture, and experience with software installations, programming tools, and troubleshooting in computer labs in Computer Applications.
