Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cloud infrastructure professional to join our team. The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and be able to lead the evaluation and transformation of existing enterprise cloud setups.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate client GCP environments and recommend improvements for optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Implement changes safely using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles where possible, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Design and modify architectures using GCP services such as VPC, subnets, Cloud NAT, Load Balancing, and IAM, always prioritizing security and scalability.
  • Build and run workloads on GKE and/or Compute Engine, containerizing applications where feasible, and tuning autoscaling for maximum efficiency.
  • Configure Cloud SQL, Spanner, Memorystore, and BigQuery as relevant, implementing backup/restore strategies and high availability/disaster recovery patterns.
  • Set up CI/CD pipelines with policy checks and environment promotion, ensuring seamless deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting with Cloud Monitoring & Logging, establishing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and error budgets where appropriate.
  • Maintain and harden security controls (SCC, IAM least-privilege, org policies, VPC-SC, private access), advising on compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Optimize costs through rightsizing, committed use/Autopilot, storage lifecycle management, and data egress pattern analysis.
