Dark Store Operations Director

Role Overview
The Dark Store Manager will be responsible for operational excellence of assigned retail stores and the Dark Stores.
This includes end-to-end oversight of ordering, indenting, receiving, storage, billing, and material movement.
A strong leader is required to build teams and ensure adherence to company SOPs.
The role requires strong team building capabilities with leadership, process orientation, and cross-functional coordination with internal departments.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
• Oversee daily operations of retail stores ensuring smooth functioning.
• Manage inventory levels, scheduling and time management.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and timely replenishment of stocks.
Team & People Management
• Build, lead, train and motivate store teams to achieve operational excellence.
• Ensure optimal manpower planning, rostering and productivity on a regular basis.
Process & Compliance
• Implement and monitor hygiene, safety and compliance standards.
• Coordinate for timely renewals of licenses and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure 100% adherence to product quality and handling protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
• Graduate in any discipline. Hotel/Retail Management preferred.
Experience
• 4-5 years of experience in managing retail operations, distribution centres or multi-store formats (FMCG, QSR, Food & Beverages preferred).
Skills
• Strong product and process knowledge in retail/food operations.
• Capabilities to manage blue collar staff and build teams.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and POS systems.
