Job Opportunity: Data Engineer

The role of a Data Engineer is pivotal in building and maintaining automated systems to extract structured and unstructured data from various sources.

Our team requires an experienced professional with the ability to develop scalable scraping systems capable of handling high-volume data collection without interruptions.

This position involves:

  • Developing multi-threaded, distributed crawlers for efficient data collection.
  • Implementing proxy rotation, captcha solving, and request throttling techniques to handle scraping restrictions.
  • Delivering clean, structured datasets into NoSQL stores and ETL pipelines for further enrichment and graph-based storage.
  • Ensuring data accuracy, deduplicating records, and maintaining trust scoring for data confidence.

Key Responsibilities also include:

  • Web Scraping & Crawling
    • Designing sophisticated crawling logic to navigate complex websites.
  • Data Parsing & Cleaning
    • Normalizing scraped data, removing noise, and ensuring consistency before passing it through data pipelines.
  • Documentation & Maintenance
    • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of website changes and documenting scraping logic for reproducibility.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience in web scraping, crawling, or data collection.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, including libraries such as BeautifulSoup, Scrapy, Selenium, Playwright, and Requests.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and DynamoDB, as well as data serialization formats like JSON, CSV, and Parquet.
  • Experience with large-scale scraping, including proxy management and rate-limiting.
  • Basic understanding of ETL processes and integration with data pipelines.
  • Exposure to graph databases, such as Neo4j, is beneficial.
