We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data processing systems utilizing Databricks technology.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Databricks clusters, notebooks, libraries, and job scheduling. Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS Databricks and cloud computing platforms is required.

  • Data Architecture & Engineering: Design and implement scalable data processing architectures using Databricks clusters, notebooks, libraries, and job scheduling.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize Spark performance, implement data caching, and tune system configurations for maximum efficiency.
  • Programming Skills: Develop complex data pipelines using Python, Scala, or SQL.
  • Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, ARM templates, or Cloud Formation. Provide expert-level support to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Databricks Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure/AWS Databricks and cloud computing platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks clusters, notebooks, libraries, and job scheduling.
  • Expertise in Spark optimization, data caching, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in Python, Scala, or SQL for data processing.
  • Experience with Terraform, ARM templates, or Cloud Formation for infrastructure automation.
  • Familiarity with Git, Dev Ops, and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Databricks certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Associate/Professional).
  • Experience in Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and MLflow.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads.
  • Experience with big data ecosystems (Hadoop, Apache Airflow, Kafka, etc.).
