Product Design Specialist

The primary objective of the Product Design Specialist is to create detailed production drawings, cutting lists, and optimize material usage to ensure efficient furniture manufacturing.

  • Production Drawings Development: Produce in-depth production drawings for furniture items based on initial designs and specifications.
  • Cutting List Preparation: Generate comprehensive cutting lists that outline the materials required for production, including dimensions and quantities.
  • Material Usage Optimization: Utilize software tools (e.g., panel optimization software) to create optimized cutting plans that minimize waste and maximize material efficiency.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with product designers and engineers to ensure the feasibility of designs from a production standpoint.
  • Quality Assurance: Review production drawings and cutting lists for accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The ideal candidate will possess strong CAD skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. They must also be able to maintain accurate documentation and reports to track production efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
