SAP HANA Database Administrator

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage SAP HANA Database architecture, ensuring efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

  • Responsibilities include message processing, technical incident management, service/change request management, problem management, and root cause analysis.
  • The ideal candidate will perform installation, patching, and upgrade activities, as well as oversee performance monitoring, tuning, backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
  • A high level of availability is ensured by performing disaster recovery setup and providing technical expertise to optimize system operations and architecture.
  • The successful candidate will support concept and tool development to prevent issues and improve efficiency, collaborate within international teams, and drive global knowledge transfer and documentation.
  • In addition, they will conduct workshops and training sessions for customers and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.

Required Skills:

  • 3 to 9 years of experience in SAP HANA DBA.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP HANA Database architecture.
  • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HANA backup and recovery concepts using both traditional and Backint methods.
  • Experience in DB restarts and troubleshooting issues in MDC/Non-MDC environments using both OS-level commands and Studio.

Preferred Skills:

  • Demonstrating strong analytical skills, technical affinity, and a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, including weekends or public holidays when required.
