Job Responsibilities:

Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting


We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance and Troubleshooting professional to join our team at Vestas. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with electrical systems, including transformers, circuit breakers, and electrical panels.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems up to 1 MVA
  • Replacing major components such as transformers, circuit breakers, and relay panels
  • Troubleshooting faults within a limited period
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards

Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering
  • 5-8 years of experience in WTG O&M services, preferably in EHV / pooling substation / feeder lines
  • Valid "C" License from CEIG, Karnataka
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English and Kannada
  • Good attention to detail and execution
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder relation skills

Competencies:



  • Good knowledge of safe work practices in USS / substation / external lines / breakers
  • Good knowledge in operation and maintenance up to KV substation
  • Preventive and breakdown maintenance of HT / LT transformers, ACB, VCB, HT / LT panels, switchgears
  • Schedule and breakdown maintenance of unit substation in the turbine (USS yard)
  • Good knowledge in relay panels / breaker testing
  • Good knowledge in spares replacement in breakers (VCB / ACB) like interrupter / pole assembly
  • Knowledge in usage of CRM kit for breaker testing
  • Good relationship with KPTCL / stakeholders for smooth functioning
  • KV substation and KV transmission line knowledge of maintenance
  • Troubleshooting of electrical components
  • Knowledge of BOP spare parts and items that are most likely to cause failure
  • Parts frequently requiring replacement and manpower handling
  • Knowledge in MS tools and SAP / FSL (soft skills)
  • To have thorough knowledge on EHV related HSE practices
