Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced web applications using WordPress. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing custom WordPress themes and plugins
  • Building and maintaining advanced Gutenberg blocks using hooks, APIs, and custom theme logic
  • Optimizing database queries and code execution to ensure seamless user experiences
  • Integrating with REST APIs and supporting complex integrations/microservices
  • Collaborating daily in Docker/Podman environments (WP-CLI, container operations, Linux commands)
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in PHP and the WordPress ecosystem (hooks, APIs, plugins, themes, Gutenberg)
  • Strong SQL skills and proven experience optimizing queries for performance
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs and microservice integration patterns
  • React experience, especially for Gutenberg block development
  • Comfortable with Docker/Podman workflows and Linux environments (WP-CLI, file manipulation, container ops)
  • A performance-minded developer: profiling, measuring, and optimizing code execution
  • MacOS or Linux development environment (mandatory)
  • Good command of HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6)
  • Experience working closely with designers and front-end integrators
  • Awareness of accessibility and Core Web Vitals best practices
