Job Title: Software Development Specialist

Our team is looking for a skilled software development specialist to join our crew. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and assisting others in designing and implementing deployment approaches using automated continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and assist team members in developing and testing solutions that meet the needs of the business.
  • Collaborate with other software engineers and teams to design, develop, test, and implement availability, reliability, scalability, and security solutions in applications.
  • Implement infrastructure as code for the applications and platforms within your remit.
  • Work with technical experts, key stakeholders, and team members to resolve complex problems and improve system processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, including service level indicators and observability.
Requirements:
  • Formal training or certification in Site Reliability Engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Ability to code in at least one programming language, such as Python or Bash.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and understanding of cloud services.
  • Familiarity with site reliability concepts, principles, and practices.
  • Knowledge of observability tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and others.
  • Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools.
  • Emerging knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of financial services industry.
