Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare SEC/FINRA financial statements in accordance with FINRA/SEC Regulations and General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Prepare regulatory reports, including FOCUS, SSOI, SIS, OBS and other required reports.
  • Download and review reports from accounting systems, tie accounts to back up documentation.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and statement reconciliations as needed.
  • Work with internal databases to add notes and items for financials and regulatory reports.
  • Communicate with clients regarding pending items.
  • Report to senior management on potential or perceived violations of laws, rules or Company policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
  • 2+ years of accounting or office experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Accounting software, QuickBooks Online experience a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
  • Proven audit/work monitoring skills.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple deadlines.
