We are seeking a highly skilled professional to manage and support our DB2 database environments. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of DB2 systems.

You will also perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization to ensure efficient system operation. Additionally, you will be tasked with managing backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.

Your expertise in database security, user access control, and compliance standards will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our databases. You will work closely with application teams to support database design, query optimization, and schema changes.

To succeed in this role, you will need strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of hands-on experience in DB2 database administration (LUW and/or z/OS)
  • Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with HADR, Data Sharing, and replication technologies
  • Proficiency in backup/recovery strategies, DR planning, and execution
  • Solid understanding of database security, roles, and privileges
  • Hands-on experience with scripting (Shell/Perl/Python) and automation tools
  • Knowledge of OS-level concepts (Linux/Unix/Windows) related to DB2
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to work in 24x7 production environments
