Embroidery Design Specialist

A skilled creative professional with expertise in designing innovative textile designs is sought after. They combine artistic skills with technical knowledge to create digital designs that translate into fabric and garments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of color, pattern, and texture, as well as the ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs. Proficiency in textile design software and understanding of fabric properties are also essential requirements.

This role involves creating original fabric manipulation techniques, embroidery, textile designs, including patterns, prints, weaves, and innovative materials. The successful candidate will be able to develop color palettes and experiment with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design Development
  • Create innovative fabric manipulation techniques, embroidery, textile designs, including patterns, prints, weaves, and innovative materials.
  • Develop color palettes and experiment with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials.
  • Research fashion, textiles, and consumer preferences to stay updated on trends.
  1. Material Selection
  • Choose suitable fabrics and materials based on design requirements and functionality.
  • Source sustainable or innovative materials when needed.
  1. Technical Skills
  • Use design software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) to create digital designs.
  • Understand textile production processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing.
  • Develop technical specifications for manufacturers.
  1. Collaboration
  • Work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure designs align with the overall vision.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand target audiences and market trends.
  1. Prototyping and Sampling
  • Develop prototypes and samples to test designs.
  • Make adjustments based on feedback and production feasibility.
  1. Quality Control
  • Ensure that the final textiles meet quality standards and design specifications.
  • Address any issues during production.
  1. Sustainability and Innovation
  • Explore eco-friendly materials and sustainable production methods.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and innovations in textile design.
